Richard Conway Casey was an American lawyer who served as a United States district judge of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York from 1997 to 2007. Casey gained national prominence for his unusual personal characteristics, such as being completely blind throughout his federal service and for his aggressive questioning during a 2004 trial considering the constitutionality of the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act of 2003.
