Ramón Bravo Prieto fue un oceanógrafo, comunicador, investigador, ecologista, científico, camarógrafo y escritor mexicano. Obtuvo el Premio Nacional de Periodismo de su país en 1979. Bravo fue la persona que dio a conocer al mundo el fenómeno de los tiburones dormidos.
