Pedro Catella fue un diplomático, orientalista, profesor, ensayista y publicista argentino, vinculado intelectualmente al nacionalismo católico argentino y especializado en cuestiones relativas al mundo árabe; como ser el conflicto árabe-israelí. Como diplomático, se desempeñó como cónsul adjunto de Argentina en Londres a fines de la década de 1940 y como cónsul general de su país en Montevideo, Beirut, Tel Aviv y Teherán.
