Katherine Patricia Mary Barber was a British-born Canadian lexicographer and founding Editor-in-Chief of the Canadian Oxford Dictionary. To promote the dictionary she often spoke publicly about Canadian words on radio and television, picking up the moniker "The Word Lady.".
