Gennady Timofeyevich Chetin was a Soviet bantamweight weightlifter. He competed at the 1968 and 1972 Summer Olympics, finishing fourth and third respectively. He became world champion in 1971 and set three ratified world records in the total. Chetin was a five-time Soviet national champion and won the USSR Spartakiad in 1971.
