Eloy Calvo Capellín fue el primer presidente del Real Sporting de Gijón tras su conversión en sociedad anónima deportiva. Anteriormente había sido miembro, entre 1986 y 1989, de la junta directiva presidida por Ramón Muñoz Fernández.
