Edward Kofi Omane Boamah was a Ghanaian politician and physician who served as the minister of defence from 1 February 2025 until his death in a helicopter crash on 6 August 2025. As a member of the National Democratic Congress, he previously served as the Minister for Communications and spokesperson to the president of Ghana.
