Abdurakhman Genazovich Avtorkhanov was a Soviet historian and Kremlinologist of Chechen origin who during the Cold War authored popular books on the Soviet Union and its ruling system. As an anti-Soviet historian after World War II, Avtorkhanov wrote under several pseudonyms, the best-known of which was "Alexander Uralov.".
